Services We Provide
What will happen to your dog?
At Millbrook Dog Grooming your dog will receive first class treatment. Having our own dogs, we know how important it is that you feel your beloved pet is safe and happy. Grooming sessions will be on a one to one basis. Your dog will not come into contact with any other dogs. Should another come in whilst yours is still with us, we will ensure they are kept separate and given a clean, comfy cage if required. If you have more than one dog, you are welcome to bring them in at the same time.

Firstly we will discuss exactly what you want for your dog. We can advise on breed standard grooming styles but essentially we will provide what you want. We understand that you may have a long coated breed yet prefer a shorter cut for hygiene and practicality reasons. Whilst we are grooming your dog we will preform a basic health check and inform you of anything we might find. It is easy to miss something when the affected area is covered with hair!

We recommend regular brushing but do understand that occasionally your dog will get a matt or two! The odd matt is not too difficult to deal with, however if your dog becomes heavily matted we WILL NOT try and brush them out. Large matts left for a period of time become tight to the skin causing pain and irritation. Trying to brush these matts out will only cause more pain to your dog. If this is the case we will shave the coat as this will remove the matts and be kinder to your dog. You may be shocked at how short the coat is at first but over time it will grow. Regular appointments will ensure your dogs coat is manageable, kept in good condition and will be easier to achieve your desired style.
